RACE WEEKEND REPORT | WSBK UK 2025

The 2025 Superbike World Championship continued at Donington Park with the UK Round, where Toprak Razgatlioglu delivered a near-perfect weekend to seize the lead in the standings. The ROKiT BMW rider was unstoppable in front of the British fans, winning both feature races and the Superpole Race. Race One

Race 1

Toprak Razgatlioglu (BMW) won Race 1 at Donington Park with a dominant ride. He started from pole, led early on, briefly lost the lead to Alex Lowes (Bimota), but regained it after Lowes crashed out on lap 4.

Nicolo Bulega (Ducati) finished second with a steady ride, keeping his championship lead. Danilo Petrucci (Barni Ducati) came through to take third after passing Andrea Locatelli (Yamaha) in the second half of the race.

Álvaro Bautista crashed out on lap 1 after contact with Sam Lowes and Yari Montella. Jonathan Rea (Yamaha) ended fifth after a fight with Scott Redding and Dominique Aegerter.

Superpole Race

The short 10-lap sprint was again dominated by Toprak Razgatlioglu, who made it two wins from two at Donington. The Turkish star led from the outset and held off a determined Nicolo Bulega in second. Sam Lowes (Marc VDS Ducati) delighted the home crowd by finishing third on home soil.

The race had few incidents, but showcased close battles throughout the field, particularly in the fight for the lower points-paying positions. Andrea Locatelli and Álvaro Bautista followed just behind the podium trio, with Petrucci, Rea, and Gerloff completing the top eight.

Race 2

Razgatlioglu completed his Donington hat-trick with another dominant performance in Race 2. Starting strongly, he built up an early lead and managed the gap to finish 2.9 seconds ahead of Bulega, who once again had to settle for second.

Álvaro Bautista (Ducati) staged a late charge with impressive consistency, lapping in the high 1:26s and low 1:27s. He caught Bulega on the final lap but ran out of time to make a move, crossing the line in third.

Andrea Locatelli had another solid ride to finish fourth, ahead of Danilo Petrucci and Garrett Gerloff in fifth and sixth, respectively. Andrea Iannone survived a moment through the gravel at the chicane to secure seventh, with Dominique Aegerter, Remy Gardner, and Iker Lecuona rounding out the top ten.
